The LCU360 is an annual votive insert with cross arms that rest on the rim of a lantern or a grave lamp. The battery is built in and lasts a full year, so the light is put in place once and then left alone.
When the year is over the whole insert is replaced: there is nothing to open and no battery to change, which is why cemeteries and parishes with many lamps use it.
